We stopped here for a drink and a snack after a forest bike ride in Holland, while we were on vacation in Germany. It was a lovely place to pause before cycling back. Kids and dogs are welcome.

Right by the Pieterpad, so it makes a handy stop along the route. The cabins are good value, and the schnitzel was fantastic.

The forest starts just outside, which was lovely for a wander. We stayed here while attending a wedding nearby, in this small, cozy bungalow hostel that suits families, friends, or little groups. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and the prices were good. The bungalows sleep four and have basic things like plates, water, cooking facilities, and a toilet. Showers are in another building. You'll want a car for getting into town and around.

That onion soup was delicious. We had lunch here after a long walk through the beautiful area and really enjoyed it.

We've visited on different occasions over many years, and the food and service have always been impeccable. The staff are friendly and do a great job.
