We were disappointed, and the online photos really didn’t show the whole story. This doesn’t feel like a hotel: there’s no reception, and even after being asked to check in online, you have to walk seven minutes to another hotel to complete check-in and get a key card. There’s no parking. The stairwell is very dirty and worn, making a gloomy first impression. The price was astonishingly high for this mess. The only thing that might justify it is the city-center location, within walking distance of bars and restaurants. We definitely won’t return. Our double room with an extra bed was fine in terms of space, but the duvets were much too thick, and there was only one on the double bed. We had large towels for everyone but not one hook or rail to hang them on, not even for jackets, and there was no bathroom floor towel. The old bathroom hadn’t been renovated. The sink drained badly, so we had to remove the plug completely. There was shower gel, at least. The backyard view was awful, with dirt, rubbish, and old things lying around. We didn’t feel safe leaving the old windows open because they couldn’t be secured properly and someone could’ve entered from outside. We could hear every movement in the rooms above and next door, including people using the toilet.

It’s a small hotel close to the city and the Royal Palace, with Q-Park about 300 meters away. The rooms are neat and the beds are good, and there’s a coffee machine and cooker in the room. No breakfast, though, and the blinking emergency light was annoying. Nights were very quiet, so I slept well.

The room was bright, lovely, and clean, and the bar downstairs is neat and run by really nice people. Best espresso I’ve had in Holland. I’m looking forward to staying again on my next trip.

Right in the center of The Hague, with clean rooms, a great breakfast, and a genuinely familiar atmosphere. The staff were really nice, friendly, and extremely helpful. We had a very nice stay.

A cozy restaurant and bar downstairs, plus friendly service. Good value if you’re after a place to stay that isn’t a fancy hotel but also isn’t a hostel.
