Inntel Hotels Den Haag Marina Beach

The rooms were clean, so credit to the housekeeping staff for that. But the rest of my two-night stay at Inntel Hotels Den Haag Marina Beach was extremely disappointing. I booked the best available category, a Wellness Room, and paid 525€. I was traveling with my baby and had to arrive earlier than planned, so I called ahead. The staff on the phone were very unfriendly, and at one point they hung up on me. I then got an email saying check-in was only possible at 3:00 PM. I arrived around 4:00 AM and explained that I understood check-in was later, but was willing to pay extra for an early room so my baby and I could rest. I never expected it for free. They asked me for 300€ in cash for a room for just a few hours until my booked room was ready. That room wasn't the Wellness Room I'd paid for, but a regular Spa Room, normally significantly cheaper. The next day, before checking into my Wellness Room, I politely asked if anything could be done about the 300€ charge. It was more than the price of my booked room per night, which made no sense to me. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful again, even though they knew what had happened. Later, I asked them to bring cutlery to the room and was told I should collect it myself or pay 12.50€. There wasn't even still water in the room, something I'd normally expect at this price level. From the parking situation to the staff's attitude and service, the whole experience was very disappointing. When you book the most expensive room category, you expect a different level of hospitality. I travel a lot and work in a customer-focused business myself, but I've honestly never had such poor, unprofessional hotel service. I wouldn't return and can't recommend it.

Our first impression was great, but the view from the room didn't match what we'd seen in the pictures. At reception, we asked to switch to a room with a better view and were told only a couple of rooms were available, all on lower floors. We also couldn't use the hotel as fully as we'd hoped for the roughly 200€ we paid. The pool shut at 21.30, despite the Q&A saying the pool and wellness area stayed open until 23.00, and the gym was under renovation for two weeks. The vending machine, the only place to get drinks, wasn't working either.

The hotel is conveniently placed for enjoying the sea and visiting The Hague. We tried breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the food was good at all three. Yazid gave us top service at dinner, greetings to him! It's a beautiful hotel with a great view, and we'd recommend choosing a sea-view room. The staff were very nice too. The only thing I'd change is to add bathrobes and slippers to the rooms. We'll be back :)

The elevators were often packed, and sometimes it took 5-15 minutes just to get down to the ground floor. In our room, none of the doors shut all the way, including the sauna and toilet doors, which always left a gap of a few centimeters. The shower head needs cleaning too. The bathroom floor around the toilet was very dirty and still hadn't been cleaned after we told the front desk. The restaurant host was rude.
