I slept well and would definitely stay here again when I’m back in Den Haag, or at another Social Hub in a different city. The place feels safe because you need keys to get everywhere. The room was spacious, the toilet very clean, and the staff were kind. There’s free laundry, although it can get quite busy since the place seems to have a lot of students. I had a really pleasant stay.

The room was tiny and already very dirty when I arrived, with stained walls and curtains and floors in terrible shape. I’m a student who came here to live during my studies, and I deeply regret choosing this place. The cost was over €1300, plus another €150 in city tax for some reason. The kitchen is often disgusting. Other students leave dishes unwashed and food everywhere, and hang out there so much that it’s hard to eat in a clean, comfortable space. If the kitchen stays dirty for three weeks in a row, everyone assigned to it gets a €150 fine, even if you explain you can’t control what others do. The worst problem for me was bedbugs. In my first few days, I started waking up with strange red spots on my hands and legs. There were no mosquitoes, so I looked under the bed and found a huge number of bedbugs. It was nighttime. The staff member gave me insect spray and told me to kill them myself. I understood he was working part-time, so I didn’t argue. I sprayed the room, but the smell was so horrible that I couldn’t sleep. They refused to move me to another room, and I had to stay awake until morning. In the morning the manager found me another room. They said a cleaning company had treated the old one and there were no more bedbugs. But afterward I got an email saying there had never been bedbugs, and that I should see a doctor if I was concerned about the bites. That made me furious. The area is terrible and has a high crime rate. Random people often enter the study and work spaces. Some come to play billiards or tennis, while others apparently use the gym. They just follow hotel guests in and have fun. Meanwhile, the security guard chats with students in the hotel courtyard. If you’re a THUAS student, don’t worry about being too far from the university. Look for somewhere better that might cost less. I strongly advise against staying here. It feels like a complete money scam.

Micq at reception really made the experience better. She welcomed us with a big smile, helped us check in, and shared great tips about the city. You can tell she enjoys her work. We had an excellent three-night stay at The Social Hub The Hague. It’s a modern, welcoming place with a lively, positive feel, well located for exploring the city. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We highly recommend it and will definitely return.

I always like the concept and positive energy at TSH. Wherever I travel, if there’s a TSH in the city, it’s my preferred place to stay. My latest stay at TSH The Hague was a bit longer, and all the staff, especially reception, deserve five stars. The rooms need more attention, though. Thanks, everyone. I’ll visit again soon!

I’ve travelled a lot, and this is the best hotel I’ve stayed in. Francesca at reception was very professional and looked after guests so well. The location is handy, just a few minutes’ walk from The Hague HS train station. The room and hotel amenities were all perfect, and the Dutch waffles were a nice extra. Ten out of ten!
