There’s quite a bit of city noise, probably because the place is next to a busy road. At night, the sink in the room makes a surprisingly loud sound as the pipes dry or something. The shared bathroom was fine, and the place is alright for a night, though there’s no air conditioning.

We were a large group of friends and had a fantastic time at Het Wapen van Tilburg. The staff were so friendly, the service was great, and the location right in the heart of Tilburg was epic. We were all very happy with the stay :)

The hostesses were really pleasant, and the food was okay, which is a shame because so much else fell short. This isn’t a hotel, more like a hostel edging toward a hovel. I’ve stayed in worse places, but at least those charged prices that matched what you got. This was way overpriced. The room was small and badly decorated, with an old bed. The shared bathroom and shower were grotty, though I should’ve read the fine print. The towels were thin and looked at least ten years old. There was no sound insulation from the busy street below, so I got only a few hours’ sleep, even with earplugs. Stay the night at your own risk.

The hotel is just beside the bus and train station, with shops and restaurants nearby. The bus to decibel was about 100 metres away. Brilliant spot.

We had a room for seven people, and all we needed was somewhere to crash after a great day and evening out in our Luigi and Mario outfits hahaha. It’s simple but has everything you need, so depending on what you’re after, this can be fantastic.
