2L De Blend

The refrigerator was the biggest nuisance: it vibrated and whistled, then would stutter loudly to a stop every so often. The room was clean, though the shower walls and window needed descaling, and the heaters were very dusty. The location is handy, with a bus to the center nearby and a supermarket almost next door for an inexpensive breakfast. I skipped the hotel breakfast because it wasn’t clear whether there was a buffet, and the 2L bar/brasserie next door doesn’t offer one. Paying 18€ for breakfast felt silly when you have a kitchen and a shop close by to make your own. We arrived a little early, so automated check-in didn’t work. Staff sorted it out quickly, but having to call someone was annoying. A bell or button would help.

Everything was perfectly clean when we visited, and the toilet even had a seal saying it had been cleaned. The rooms are big and have kitchens, and the TV size was fine. We only had one blanket at first, but getting a second one was no problem.

My car window was smashed in the hotel’s paid parking lot during my stay, and things were stolen from the car. I expected some basic support, but staff seemed indifferent and unwilling to help. The owner came across as arrogant and highly unprofessional. When I tried to get information or assistance, I was brushed off and responsibility was passed elsewhere. The rooms also felt dated and past their prime. Their standard didn’t match the price or what the hotel claims to offer. I had an entirely negative experience. If safety, basic service, and fair treatment matter to you, avoid this hotel. I strongly advise against staying here.

The bed was so uncomfortable that I worried about my back. The bathroom was ridiculously tiny and unusable, and the dishes were filthy. We asked specifically for the room to be cleaned, but when we got back that night, no one had done it. Reception staff were shockingly rude. A truly terrible stay, and I wouldn’t give this place a star. Avoid it.
