The location is great and the rooms are nicely minimal, though there's not much storage for clothes and other things. Sleep was impossible with three bars next door open until 4am. Ear plugs were provided, but didn't help much when drunk people were shouting outside the window at 1am. If you need a quiet hotel, this isn't the place.

The room was pleasant, though it’s starting to look a little worn, and at the price we paid I didn’t feel it was worth it. We also couldn’t get proper rest because of the restaurant noise downstairs, which kept us awake until very late. Earplugs were in the room, but nobody warned us ahead of time that we might need them. Communication was frustrating too. I got an email saying the hotel couldn’t reach me because I hadn’t shared contact details through Booking.com, even though I booked directly and had provided them from the start. They agreed we could leave our bags until noon, but when we came back earlier nobody was available, so we had to wait. The person who eventually helped kept pointing out that they’d come in especially for us. That service and stay didn’t justify what we paid.

Utrecht is such a lovely city, and the place itself is generally nice, with rooms that were very clean and tidy. Just be aware that getting to some rooms involves steep, risky stairs. A few practical things could be improved: there’s no basic place to store luggage, which is especially awkward for a one-night stay, and a bathroom curtain would be useful. In our case, the digital keys didn’t work properly, or the door stayed open, and it could only be locked with a hard key.

We liked this sweet little inn and its great location. Our family suite was comfortable, with two single beds in a small room off the main bedroom, reached through the shower room. There wasn’t much of a hotel setup during our visit: the restaurant was closed and there’s no lobby. It felt private, more like an Airbnb, except there’s no kitchen.
