I stayed with my family, a double room and a single room. Ted, the lovely host let us check in early at 3pm, he helped us carry our suitcases and made sure we felt safe and cared for. The beds are very comfortable. It’s quiet and warm. For breakfast, Ted made sure we were well fed and made us 2 coffees. I definitely recommend staying and definitely would visit again.

I stayed 2 nights on a solo trip. The owner Ted was welcoming and enthusiastic. The building is very old with 3 flights of stairs. It's more of a guesthouse than a hotel really. It served my needs. Some things were basic but couldn't expect any more for the price. I was very happy over all and highly recommended for those on a budget. Terrific value all things considered. Pros... Great location. 10 mins off the centre. 20 minutes from train station. Cheap for those who are happy with the basics. Quiet. Clean. Friendly service. Cons No proper bath towel(too small). Limited use of shower.(one sh

Ted, the loveliest person and owner of the hotel made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable and truly accommodates you to the best of his ability, such as allowing us to leave our luggage at the hotel until our train departed after check out . The hotel was exceptionally clean for how antique it seems, the beds were very comfortable with housekeeping everyday to ensure you come back to a clean and comfortable stay. The breakfast was deliciously simple, with eggs fresh from Ted’s farm! The hotel is in a great location, just off the street from a canal and a short walk to the city centre.
