I used to appreciate Hotel Parkzicht and ate here two or three times a week, but this visit left me deeply disappointed. After a long stretch of hard work, I was sitting on the terrace looking visibly tired and nearly dozing off. I’d only had one beer and hadn’t asked for another, yet a staff member told me, “No more alcohol for you.” The assumption and the way it was said felt incredibly rude. I’ve never felt so offended here. If this is how loyal guests are treated, I can’t recommend the hotel anymore. I’d welcome an apology.

The rooms feel a little dated, but they’re looked after well and the beds are good. The bar and restaurant are very good, and I felt welcome. Service was excellent.

The food was delicious. The hotel itself looks nice, though the rooms felt quite old. They were clean, but sadly there was some mold in the bathroom.

The owners are very friendly and caring. Rooms are just okay, a bit dated, and could be cleaner. There’s a shower but no tub. Breakfast was okay too. At the restaurant, the food was so-so and service below average, with very young, inexperienced staff. Skip the wine, though the beers and whiskeys are great. The dinner show should be fun.

The atmosphere is great, and the place has a really cool look. There’s a huge range of drinks, and the staff are attentive and fairly quick. The food costs a bit, but it’s really quite good.
