Eikenschors

We had four fantastic days here and left feeling very relaxed. The Eikenschors holiday apartment is spacious, modern, and impeccably maintained. Everything looked brand new, and the kitchen had dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans, all in excellent condition. There’s a small terrace with sturdy, comfortable seating, plus a big garden with mature trees. Dogs are welcome without any problem. It’s a quiet, natural spot but still handy for getting around. The dike is just a 3-minute walk, with lovely views over Veere and the Veerse Meer lake, and it’s great for walking the dogs. Veere itself is also an easy walk. Vrouwenpolder, its shops and beach, and Middelburg for a city break or restaurant visit are 5-10 minutes by car. Banjaard beach is 8 minutes away, and Zoutelande, Oostkapelle, and Domburg on the other side of Walcheren are easy to reach. The Delta Works also make it quick to get to Burgh-Haamstede and Renesse. There’s plenty nearby for an active but relaxing stay in Zeeland. We did have a couple of quirks to work around. The stove and extractor hood are in the entrance hall, while the sink is in the kitchen, so you have to carry hot cooking water to another room to drain it. That didn’t feel entirely safe with children. Only the kitchen/living room, which is one room, is heated, so it got quite cold in the sleeping area at night, around -3 to -5°C. Still, it didn’t spoil our stay.

A lovely holiday apartment, very clean and tidy, with lots of amenities. The landlord was really friendly. There’s a terrace and a huge garden, which is perfect if you’re traveling with a dog.

Veere is an easy walk away, and the beach is only a 5-minute drive. It’s a quiet, lovely place to stay with good amenities, comfortable beds, and a beautiful garden. Dogs are welcome, and the landlord is always available. Nothing was missing. Bring your own bed linen and towels, or rent them for a small fee.

We’ve stayed here a few times with our dog. The apartments are lovely and have parking, and Richard is always friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back.
