The setting is peaceful and green, with well-kept grounds that suited walks, bike rides, and a chance to unwind away from the crowds. Our unit was cozy and clean. Most units don’t have air conditioning, apart from the connecting rooms, so that’s something to consider in warmer weather. It’s a laid-back, family-friendly place, and I’d return for the scenery and tucked-away feel.

The constant planes overhead, about one every minute, made it impossible to relax or sleep. There was just one small pool for roughly 500 houses. We paid 380€ for two days, and this was the worst experience I’ve had. I’m going to keep complaining, and I wouldn’t recommend it to colleagues or family. We arrived to find the pool closing at 17:00, even though check-in starts at 16:00. After I asked reception about the early closing, the next day they put up a small notice saying the pool would stay open later than 17h00. It felt like they were trying to remove the evidence, but I have screenshots and photos. The listing on booking mentioned beauty and spa, but there was nothing like that, which really surprised us. The food bar was closed for two days while we were there, so eating meant taking the car at least 10 km. One staff member was rude, kept the outside doors locked, and would unlock them only to lock them again five minutes later. I also felt they deliberately delayed replying to my request until one day before, then refused to cancel it, even though they had been very responsive before. They tried to hide their mistakes. I have photo proof.

The park itself is lovely, but the houses reminded me of a summer camp from my school days. We had to pay a deposit, and at checkout they kept it, claiming we’d smoked inside even though none of us smoke. They also charged a made-up 250€ smoking fine. It felt like a scam. On top of that, we were charged for not making the beds, which made the stay feel like army barracks.

The rest of the parc is perfect, but being right below Schiphol’s landing zone isn’t exactly a dream.
