8/10
The main room had beautiful views over the lake, and the setting was lovely. I was there for three nights for a conference, and the staff were accommodating with our group, even changing meal options for us. The amenities were a nice addition. The rooms felt small, though, and the walls were so thin that you could hear almost everything from next door.

For the price, I expected better. The pool was out of order, the room felt like it was falling apart, and the bathroom light wouldn’t switch off. The TV was dated, there was a strange smell, and the shower sprayed straight onto the toilet.

The service was very friendly, and getting here from the motorway was convenient. It’s a peaceful area, about 30 minutes from the center of Amsterdam.

I came here hoping for somewhere quiet to rest and walk, and that’s what I got. It’s far from the train and bus station, but the place is calm and clean, with a typical farm feel. The pool was clean and a very comfortable temperature. The restaurant food was good, and there were nice drinks and beer choices. The staff were kind, too. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh food. Honestly, I don’t think a 3,8 rating does the place justice. What I paid gave me more than I expected, and if we’re paying less, we can’t be too demanding. My cheaper room didn’t have a fridge, there was only one sheet on the bed, and the shower left water everywhere. Those were things I could live with. I had a good stay.

The outside looked appealing, but there was a constant motorway buzz. Check-in and checkout went smoothly, and the rooms were clean, though noisy, with a bed that was too soft. We had to call the waiter for service about 9/10 times.
