B&B Rixtels-Landhoeve

The best B&B I've ever stayed in.

We'd been coming here for years, but after the two-year lockdown, last weekend was a real disappointment. The room needed quite a bit of maintenance, and it wasn't clean: there was dust, clutter, and bathroom leftovers. Unlike previous visits, there was no shampoo or body wash. We booked by email at the start of the year, but were still charged the recently increased rate. Breakfast used to be perfect, but this time it was very sparse: few rolls, no croissants, no fresh fruit, just some dried-out cucumber pieces. The breakfast room also hadn't been cleaned properly after the previous day's guests.

We only stayed one night and wished we'd stayed longer. The B&B is quiet, the service very friendly, and breakfast was delicious with something for everyone. The room was well equipped: it had a hairdryer, shampoo and shower gel, kettle, air conditioning, a fridge, a small armchair and table, another table with two chairs, and tea-making supplies. There's also a restaurant just 150 meters away, with tasty dishes at good prices, perfect for a relaxing evening. If we need somewhere to stay in the area again, we'll choose this place. Thank you!

Caroline welcomed us warmly and explained the B&B, its beginnings, and their plans for the future in a clear, spontaneous way. We enjoyed a lovely bubble bath, then made the most of the comfort and little luxuries, including a fridge in the room where my glass of wine stayed nice and cool. The bed was comfortable, the shower was wonderful in the morning, and there were plenty of towels. Everything was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of choice, fresh meats, and juices. Caroline and Barry, thanks for your hospitality. We'll definitely come back.
