The staff were very warm and friendly, and breakfast could be arranged for 08:00 or packed for an earlier departure, even though the usual start was 08:30. Still, De Klomp wasn’t quite right for us. After cycling 100km, we didn’t fancy the fine dining choices available for dinner. The mattress was softer than we like, and restaurant guests sat in the garden below our window talking late into the night.

We stayed at the Herberg over Easter and had a very comfortable, quiet night in our deluxe room. The young chef clearly has a passion for cooking. Dinner was delicious and far better than we expected, and breakfast was excellent too. Everyone on staff was friendly. Thank you all, it was amazing value for the price.

The area is great, and the food was good. We had a three-course dinner with a brilliant meat dish. Our room was a good size, with a nice big bathroom and comfortable beds. At night, though, the beds kept apart, leaving a gap between us. The hotel information about various things was only in Dutch.

We had high tea here the following day, and for this level of food it was great value. Dinner was so good I’d happily come back. The Chef’s dinner needs a reservation, and uses fresh local ingredients in creative dishes that are filling and include a generous amount of vegetables. Service was friendly and relaxed, wine was reasonably priced, and they even brought us an appetiser on the house.

We held a marriage reception dinner here, and it was well organized with plenty of space and enough parking behind the church. The dessert is a must, and the staff were very friendly. A fantastic place for an event.
