Van Der Valk Hotel 's-Hertogenbosch - Vught

Monique made our New Year's Eve at the Hotel Bar especially memorable. She served us two lovely cocktails and shared a passionate story about Van der Valk's favorite, the Pornstar Martini. You'll have to hear it from her and try her way of serving it yourself. Thank you, Monique, for making the evening worth being there. We can't wait to return and will find a reason to come back soon. Thanks to the Van der Valk team for making our stay so enjoyable. The room was beautiful and clean, and the staff were very welcoming. 🎉

The gym equipment was good, but the staff there were so passive it was almost funny. I asked for help and they wouldn't spend any time on it, like they just saw the job as an easy way to pass the day. Restaurant staff weren't comfortable in English, which is fine, but they gave me odd looks when I tried to order in English. The hotel itself is alright.

The food was bland and tasteless, and it was pricey too. Instead of cooking each dish together, they seemed to prepare all the ingredients separately and toss them together. van Der Valk used to have a reputation for solid Dutch food, so this was disappointing.

The breakfast buffet had everything needed to start the day, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We spent one night in the apartment suite, which was quiet, private, and beautifully furnished, just as the website described. Being able to drop the keys in the check-out box was great and saved us from waiting in line. Looking forward to coming back.
