Westcord Aparthotel Boschrijck

We’ve just spent a few days here for the second time, with three generations. It’s a perfect place, the service is excellent, and you feel welcome.

The location is convenient, close to the boats and within walking distance of a nice forest. The bathrooms have been redone and are nice, and they offer luggage service. That’s where the good points end for me. The mattresses are old and soft, the room smells because the carpets aren’t clean, and there was a broken curtain rail, broken lamps, and pictures on the wall. We ordered food from the restaurant, but it was poor quality and cooked in old oil. The breakfast breads didn’t arrive until we called reception to ask where they were. During checkout the weather was bad, with hail, so we asked for a two-hour late checkout. They could do it for 50 euros, which we booked. But when we asked for extra coffee for the room during that extra time, they said we had to buy it. It felt like they overcharge and try to squeeze every extra cent out of you. The hotel is average and overpriced, and the service was not good.

The location is convenient, just a short bike ride from the ferry and the restaurants and shops in West Terschelling. Our room was quiet and the beds were comfortable. Still, WestCord ApartHotel Boschrijck didn’t feel like a four-star hotel. We had what must have been its most expensive room, a two-bedroom apartment with a kitchen and balcony, but it didn’t feel worth the price.

A comfortable self-catering apartment made a perfect base for our first trip to the island. The balcony looked out over beautiful natural woodland, and renting bikes was easy. The staff were very friendly.
