Fletcher Hotel Restaurant Frerikshof

We had dinner and breakfast as part of our overnight stay, and both meals were excellent, with plenty of choice on the à la carte menu and at breakfast. Fabulous value for money. The stylish hotel is in a very pretty setting, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean, with a courtesy tray and toiletries provided. We'd certainly stay again and recommend it to others.

The staff are excellent and the rooms are comfortable. Room service was especially useful when I had late evening team meetings. The hotel works well for business travellers, but the wifi isn't secure or very fast, so bring your own connection if you plan to work from there.

We paid €155 per night, but the bathroom was so dirty that I didn't shower. There were dirty stains on the room walls too, and the sheets were smaller than the mattress. I don't recommend staying here. I wonder whether the management has housekeeping or cleanliness standards at all. It's a shame the hotel provides this kind of service to guests.

Breakfast was okay for a day or two, but the food was bland and there wasn't much choice. During my four weeks there, the offerings never changed once. Parking could also be a problem, especially from Monday to Wednesday. Reception staff often struggled with requests, and the usual answer was, "Can you please speak with my colleague in the morning?" That wasn't helpful when, for example, I needed an invoice.
