Willem was incredibly generous and made me feel at home, then showed me around the grounds, where there’s lots to discover. This historic farmhouse is special, with lovely art and books, and comfortable little corners to read or enjoy a glass of wine. Breakfast was an experience too, with local cheese, yogurt, fruit, and berries. A magical place, and highly recommended.
We had a really nice weekend here, and the price felt fair. Our hosts were lovely and friendly. The guest room was clean, nicely decorated, and had a huge, comfortable 2-meter bed, plus a large bathtub that was perfect for a relaxing soak. Breakfast was delicious: cheese, ham, berries, melon, cherry tomatoes, yogurt, juice, tea or coffee, good bread, and a croissant.
Breakfast was very, very good. I’m writing this before I’ve even left, which I’ve never done before. After a long, tiring day, I got such a friendly welcome. The place has been restored and decorated with impeccable taste.
The family celebration turned into an unforgettable, high-quality event. Bommels Bakhuys and the wonderful setting made for a beautiful afternoon.
The building has been newly refurbished and sits in beautiful surroundings. Service was great, and breakfast was lovely too. I can only recommend it.
