Our room was spacious, quiet and comfortable, so we slept very well. We also had a lovely view of the beach, and waking up to the sea was wonderful. It was disappointing, though, to see so much litter and waste on the beach. There weren’t many good restaurants within walking distance either. The hotel made it easy to explore the area, and we drove to Zaanse Schans for a great day trip. On the drive from Germany, we passed charming towns and lovely homes in beautiful surroundings. At check-in, the receptionist was friendly and professional, spoke German, and made everything smooth. Breakfast had a good variety, and the woman working there kindly gave us reusable cups for takeaway coffee, a thoughtful gesture. We enjoyed the comfortable accommodations and friendly service, and would consider staying again.

I paid 272 eur for one night with breakfast and left feeling like my money had been taken for nothing. In The Hague, for example, you can get a 4* hotel for half that and have a perfect room. Here, for nearly 300 euros, the place was dated, smelly in the hallways, and neither modern nor clean. Both elevators were out, so all guests were directed to one service elevator. We were first put in a basic room with carpet stains and an old TV with only a few channels, not a smart TV in 2026. When I pulled back the blanket at bedtime, the sheets had holes. I complained at reception and they upgraded us, but that room still had stained tables and dirty curtains. The next morning, the restaurant walls were stained everywhere at breakfast. It’s hard to understand how the property is so neglected when it has guests and income, presumably with people staying for F1. I felt bad for the staff working there. I’ll never return; I’ve never had anything remotely this bad at another hotel in the Netherlands.

The hotel is in a lovely area close to the beach, and we’d recommend visiting. We stayed four days with our dog. Breakfast had a nice selection, and the staff were generally friendly. But traveling with a dog didn’t feel very well accommodated. At breakfast, guests with dogs are limited to one small long table, which wasn’t a good setup when nearby dogs started barking at each other. We had to sign a dog rules document, but it was taken away so quickly that we barely had time to read it. Some rules weren’t explained ahead of time. For example, dogs apparently can’t be on the bed, though that wasn’t in the document, and they’re only allowed in the room inside a crate, which we also hadn’t been told in advance. Service was inconsistent. Housekeeping took our used towels without replacing them. After we asked for a full set, including a missing hand towel, we got only one towel. We also requested fresh coffee cups, but nothing happened for four hours; we had to ask again before receiving them. The bed was another disappointment. It was two single beds pushed together instead of a proper double, and they kept sliding apart, leaving a gap that made sleeping uncomfortable. For a hotel in this category, I expected a better solution. The location and friendly staff are real pluses, but the experience for guests with dogs needs improvement.

The price didn’t match the quality, and breakfast was bland, limited and far below what I expected. Noise made it hard to relax or sleep. Staff came across as unwelcoming and indifferent to basic requests, with little professionalism. I regret choosing this hotel and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for comfort or good service.

A good choice for visiting the race circuit. The rooms are spacious and clean, the bed is comfortable, and the restaurant is reasonable. Parking may be difficult when it’s busy, and don’t try to bring a trailer into the car park.
