The location was a real plus, but the amount of maintenance left undone was disappointing. Several things felt loose or broken, including the toilet handle and the handle on the ground-floor apartment door. The front door is hard to close, so people end up slamming it and disturbing everyone. Parts of the kitchen were damaged, the oven was dirty, and the cooktop was so filthy we couldn't get it clean. The kitchen sink was blocked too, and when the dishwasher pumped out, its water came back up into the sink. There were just two matching wine glasses. A set of six from Blokker can't cost much, can it? The flooring had been fitted badly, with gaps up to about 1 cm. The bathroom extractor kept sticking, and until it started turning again it made a shrill seagull-like noise. That also seems like a fire hazard. The lightweight mat by the entrance slid around the hall and could easily cause a fall. Noise was another issue: we heard every movement from the upstairs neighbors. For an eight-day stay, one small set of towels, tea towels and dishcloths wasn't enough. Such a shame, because you don't expect all these problems.

The ground-floor apartment was cozy, spacious, and in a great spot. What really got to us was the noise and, even more, the cooking smells coming down from upstairs. It was absolutely filthy.

We had a great time here. The apartment was roomy, peaceful, and had excellent facilities, plus a lovely bed. Its location makes a good starting point for exploring Schouwen Duiveland. It's away from the tourist crowds, while still close to the beach and sea.

The room was nice and the location was fine, but having the toilet out in the hallway was really annoying. Our car was also a 15-minute walk away, which was very inconvenient with two small children.
