Aparthotel Hattem

We stayed one night in “Room luxury B,” which was tastefully done to a high standard. The bed was the highlight, easily the most comfortable hotel bed we've slept in, even after staying at plenty of places. Highly recommend.

I hadn't even heard of Hattem before, but I'll definitely return. These apartments have been refurbished and designed beautifully, with a great bed, an excellent shower, and comfortable space to unwind or get some work done. They're right in the heart of this tiny, ancient, picturesque Hanseatic city. A real find for a tired traveller.

I'm 12 and a Canadian citizen. I came here with my mother, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The stairs are really unsafe, and anyone using them could fall. When we arrived, the owner gave us a door code that didn't work. We were stuck outside in the cold and rain for a long time. I later found out the owner lives in the neighboring house, only about 2 meters away, but he didn't come to let his customers in. I became very ill as a result. At 11 o'clock, when it was time to leave, he and his wife made me leave. I begged them to let me wait just 10 minutes in the corridor, not the room, because there was no lobby or reception, until my taxi arrived. It was cold and raining, but they refused. I feel the owner doesn't know how to manage the place or deal with customers. The things I've described could be checked on the security cameras. I don't recommend staying here at all.

I've stayed overnight at Aparthotel Hattem several times now, and plan to keep coming back. It's tastefully designed, peaceful, and right in the middle of Hattem, with three restaurants about 200 metres away. There's no reception, but Caroline responds quickly to questions on Whatsapp. Entry is fully digital, including electronic keys. Highly recommend.
