We stayed four nights and would happily come back. The hosts were lovely and quick to reply whenever we messaged. It's an easy walk to grocery stores and the city center. The apartment has what you need, including a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, oven and freezer. There’s heating in both the bathroom and the living and sleeping area. I'd recommend it for a Bergen visit.

The internet was fast and steady, and the Frame TV kept me entertained on rainy evenings. The neighborhood around Nordness is very quiet, which made for good sleep, and the apartment has what you need for either a short or longer stay. Modern kitchen appliances made it easy to cook all kinds of dishes, and the bathroom and bedroom heaters were enough even on the coldest nights. It's a real gem overlooking both of Bergen harbors. Thanks, Greta & Amund, for being such welcoming hosts. 😃👍 I'll be back soon.

We still enjoyed our stay, and the bed was comfortable. It's about a 10-minute walk to the waterfront, but getting to the room means climbing two narrow flights of spiral stairs. The place is quirky, with a small fridge, no microwave, and a shower that isn't separate from the toilet. Communication was good, though the door code didn't work when we arrived, and another tenant had to buzz us in. We'd said we were driving, but no parking ticket had been left at the apartment, so we waited about 30 minutes for the owner to bring it. We also had to sort out recycling a block up the street, and there were no bags provided. At least, that's what the bins looked like they were for. Maybe you're meant to get bags at the grocery store? This was the most expensive place I paid for during our Norway stay.

The host was very good and clearly wanted us to have a nice stay. Getting there was less easy. The road up is steep, public transport is limited, and the nearest bus is 200-300 meters away. There’s just one bus, every 30 minutes on weekdays and every 60 minutes on weekends. The apartment is old and upstairs, reached by an old-fashioned circular staircase that makes luggage difficult to carry.

It's an old-fashioned house and can be an enjoyable place to stay, but don't bring much luggage. The street is sloped, so you have to drag it uphill, and the inside stairs are too narrow to carry it to the first floor. There's no lift, since this is a house rather than a high-rise apartment.
