Beverøya Hytteutleie og Camping

The river is lovely for a swim, and there’s a playground plus lots of other activities for kids, so it’s a great spot for families. We’d booked a hytte, then learned some friends would be there at the same time. When we explained at reception, the staff immediately offered us the hytte next to theirs at no extra charge, even though it was a little better than the one we’d booked. We’ll come back, and stay longer next time.

The shop’s prices are much too high for bread, milk and other food, so it’s worth driving 800meter up the street to the local store in Bø. We stayed in one of the larger cabins and liked it a lot. The smaller ones looked very cramped, so I’d suggest a bigger cabin for a family of four or more. The staff were friendly and very service minded, the two swimming ponds were great, and the place has a cozy feel. No hesitation recommending it.

The cabins are clean and renovated, with a fully equipped kitchen for making decent meals. There’s a huge fridge, an oven, dishwasher and washing machine, plus a baby bed and chair for families with small babies. The surroundings are lovely, especially in autumn. We came as a fairly big group for just one night, and were surprised there were no bed sheets, soap, shampoo, tea or coffee in the house. We had to collect the sheets from elsewhere on the grounds, so it’s not ideal for a one-night stay if you haven’t brought food and toiletries.

Great place to camp and stay on vacation, close to the store and not too far from bø sommerland.
