Bo Sommermotel Gullbring

The staff were absolutely lovely, and the food at dinner was very good, though extremely overpriced. Breakfast had a good range and the dishes tasted good too, but they were very stingy with bacon. I got half a piece for each sunny-side up egg. Our overall stay felt mediocre. There was a heap of trash under the sofa when we arrived. The room was super hot, and even with the windows open, airflow was horrible. There was just one ceiling light by the entrance, so we had to rely on lamps for the rest of the room. Charging devices was awkward too, with no outlets beside the beds and mainly just two outlets for our own devices. I don’t think I’ll book a room here again in the foreseeable future.

The rooms were clean and the staff super nice. Breakfast was okay, though the buffet didn’t quite meet the standard. It’s a five minute walk from the train station and even closer to the center.

It was 23 degrees outside, and we had to keep the window open at night because the room got too hot to sleep in otherwise. There’s no air conditioning, which I know is true of almost 99% of hotels in Norway. The room was small, breakfast just so-so, and the hotel felt really old. The corridor had a very uncomfortable smell. If you’re going to bø sommerland, I’d choose a nearby campsite or make a day trip from Oslo, about two hours away.

Really kind service, and the canteen had a great variety of meals. Definitely recommend it.
