The setting is stunning, with lovely outdoor areas and lots of chances to do activities. Everything felt high quality and the service was excellent. Maybe the nicest campsite we’ve ever visited or even seen.

The facilities for toilets, showers and cooking were good, and the kids loved the playground. We pitched our tent at a waterside camping spot for two nights. They serve good food and drinks at the heated bar or restaurant until 6. A lovely campground and a perfect getaway in Telemark.

There’s lots to do here with kids and family, from water skiing, pedal boats and canoes to plenty more. We also took a boat trip through the many water locks in the Telemark-kanalen, and the boat stopped right at the docks here. The restaurant food wasn’t too great. A good tip is to walk over to the Norsjø Hotel for their fantastic BBQ buffet.
