The room was clean and the rest of the stay was okay. Dinner was good, though not perfect, which seemed fair for the price. I was disappointed by the hand towels, they were so large they could have passed for bath mats at other hotels. We checked in around 7 pm and asked about a takeaway breakfast for our checkout before 6 am, but the kitchen was already closed, so they said it wasn't possible. I'd have given five stars if I could.

The food was delicious, and the Polish chef was really nice. They even sent the tray with my birthday cake up to my room. Since meals are included, the price works out cheaper than the other hotels nearby. Thank you, Grand Hotel, you really are grand.

We arrived for Fika at 4 pm, just an hour after it opened, and there were only two pieces of cake left. Dinner didn't make things better: the bolognese was disappointing, the salads were sad and ran out quickly, and bread was gone after the first 30 minutes. We'd booked Home Hotel Grand Bodø after a lovely stay at another Strawberry hotel in Stokmarknes. The price looked great, especially with Fika, dinner and breakfast included, but it was too good to be true. For what we paid, it wasn't a nice hotel experience. I'd suggest the Quality hotel in Bodø instead, also part of Strawberry, where you get more luxury for the money in a brand new hotel.

The staff were so helpful and topped up my water bottle. We also picked up some leftover breakfast through 2good2go, and it tasted great.

The dinner was delicious and changed every day, and breakfast was good too. Really good value for the quality. The hotel has a lovely feel, with nice decor, and the staff were super kind. The only thing I'd improve is the extra bed: it was pretty hard on our backs, and we could feel the metal frame.
