The view is quite nice, and the site has showers, toilets, laundry, and a new kitchen that may be the best I've seen at a campsite. One tent cost me about 300 UAH. The only awkward bit when camping in a tent is that the toilets are a little far away.
We came without a reservation in the late afternoon to break up the journey for the ferry from Bodo to Moskenes. Reception was friendly and spoke good English, and we could choose our own pitch, each with a decked area. The facilities were superb, with properly hot water and a warm, pleasant kitchen. We crossed the bridge on foot to watch the tidal currents, which were quite a sight. We couldn't book a ferry crossing, so we drove to the port and joined the queue instead. That meant waiting five hours. Ho hum!
Saltstraumen is fascinating when you catch it at the right time, with the current at its strongest. The place itself is peaceful and quiet, near Saltstraumen, and there are walks to enjoy. I'd recommend a trip.
The surroundings were clean and comfortable, and all the facilities seemed well cared for. The toilets were very clean, and there were washing machines, dryers, and a kitchen. I came in a motorhome, found check-in easy, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Extremely satisfied!
The shower room and kitchen were very clean, but the room I rented was small and had four beds. I don't understand how a room can be supplied without pillows or blankets. That's not normal, especially for 75 euros.
