We booked this for our last night before a 6 a.m. flight from Evenes. It’s about a 15-minute drive from the airport. For under 100 USD, our sea-view apartment with an en-suite bathroom and living room felt like good value. Our windows looked out over the water, and the views seemed like they’d be lovely for Aurora shots. We’d seen the northern lights along the way and hoped to see them here too, but it was cloudy and rainy. From other pictures, it definitely looks like there could be a good view. The shared kitchen was very handy, with everything we needed to cook dinner. It looked quite commercial, almost like it might previously have been a restaurant. If you’re catching an early flight, I’d recommend Bogen Hostel. For us, it was good value in the off-peak season.

We pulled in looking for a place to stay for the night. Before we’d even left the car, a woman who wasn’t very friendly told us we couldn’t park there and had to leave. So we drove off and booked three rooms somewhere else.

We stayed for just one day and saw the northern lights from the terrace. The bedroom had an amazing view, and there’s a shared kitchen too. A great stop when you’re heading to or coming back from Lofoten.

The room was clean, and having a kitchen was a nice extra. There’s a bus stop nearby, so getting to the airport is fairly easy. I’d stay again just for the incredible view from our room. It was a pleasant visit.

The views were amazing, which earns it a few stars from me. For the low price, it’s a decent hostel in an easy spot right by the main road. Still, the rooms weren’t the cleanest, and the walls were paper thin. We could hear people talking in nearby rooms. The bathrooms had a strange smell, and the shower drain didn’t work properly, so some water overflowed. The small town has almost no services on Sunday, so bring some food with you.
