The river view in the sunshine made dinner feel extra special, and the service was great. We came with the family and loved the food and the pretty hotel. We’ll definitely return, and I’d recommend it to anyone.

Plenty to choose from at the Sunday lunch buffet, and the food was good. At 465 Kr per person, though, it isn’t cheap.

The renovations on the ground floor add a fresh touch without losing the hotel’s old-fashioned atmosphere. We loved its antique charm. If you want a river view, contact the hotel and ask for a room facing the river, since you can’t book one directly here.

We stopped in on the spur of the moment and had a fantastic evening. Our young server did her best to recommend food that would suit us, and we really enjoyed the reindeer and brosme filet with mussels. We ate outside on the lovely terrace overlooking the river. The interior looked like a comfortable place too. I’d definitely recommend it.

A good bed, a great night’s sleep, and a tasty breakfast are what hospitality means to me, and this hotel delivered. For a meal and a reasonably priced beer, ask reception about the pizza or burger place across the street. It’s a good way to end the day.
