There’s a movie theater for kids, plus a troll tale game where they can earn a reward. Still, the hotel itself feels pretty ordinary, without much of that theme park magic.

The grounds were lovely to look at and wander around, and there’s a great playground for kids. Inside, our room was clean and the beds were really comfortable. Breakfast was great too. We also needed to do laundry, and being able to use the washer and dryer for free was a very nice extra. The staff were kind and helpful, and we had a nice stay.

After a miserable night in our tent, with maybe four hours of sleep, we asked if there was any way we could get somewhere to rest before our booking time. We’d arrived earlier than expected, but the staff were incredibly understanding and worked out a good solution. They found us a very good room so we could finally rest. That help, along with the location, made this one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

I came with a tour group and found the troll theme really interesting. The resort setting was nice, and my room was clean and comfortable. Everywhere seemed to be made of solid wood.
