The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a big selection like you’d find at a good hotel. There’s also free laundry with a washer, dryer, and a large drying room, which was great after cycling in the rain. The shared kitchen is well equipped, and there’s a lounge too. This is a summer hostel run by the local school or polytechnic, not a dedicated hotel or guesthouse. We had a basic room with a shared bathroom next door. Only two rooms were in use during our stay, so it felt almost private, but the bathroom block was basic and the doors didn’t close very well. The room had few electrical outlets, and they were badly placed, so I couldn’t plug in the desk lamp. It’s quite far from town, especially if you’re touring by bike. For what we got, it felt overpriced compared with other guesthouses.

My room had a view, which I found relaxing, and the place was quiet. It’s a 20 minute walk from town. The rooms are simple and practical, and having a shared kitchen was handy when I was tired of eating out and wanted an easy meal. Free washing machines were another plus. Good price, I’d stay again.

We had a private bathroom and a room that was big enough, with a desk. It was clean and perfectly decent for a night’s rest, though the bathroom was a little small. This isn’t the place to experience Norwegian culture, but we had a pretty good stay and would probably come back. :)

Just what you’d hope for from a hostel. There was an error with my booking, but they fixed it quickly and upgraded my room.
