We only had one night here in our campervan. The place is well run and conveniently near the old town. There’s a ferry to the new town if you have time, though we just managed to fit in a good meal.

The views aren't much, and the price is a little high, though showers with no time limit are included, so it feels fair enough in the end. For an overnight stop while traveling, it's very good. I'm less sure I'd choose it for a holiday, as it depends on what else there is to do in Fredrikstadt. The facilities are plentiful, clean, and very good, and it's near a fort.

There's plenty of space for caravans and tents, and the location near the castle is excellent. The campground has a cafe, a meeting room beside it, and a big outdoor deck with Weber grills. Laundry is free, and a Spar market is 0.7km away. This is the best campground I've stayed at in Southern Norway, well worth a visit.

Just a couple of blocks from 'gamlebyen' (old fortified town), the location is handy. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the rates very reasonable.
