The place has a lovely history, and our room was comfortable. But the shower drain clearly hadn’t been cleaned: we had to pull out old hair ourselves, and the water spilled onto the floor. That should be taken care of when the room is cleaned. Check-out at 10:30 felt too early, though they checked with management and let us stay until noon. Weekend breakfast ending at 9:30 is early too. Still, it was a very nice place.

The staff were so helpful and kind. We also enjoyed the breakfast and the welcoming lobby. Set on a hilltop among lots of farms, the place has amazing views, and the rooms are comfortable.

The grounds are beautiful, and we were met by very polite staff, though a lot of their answers were along the lines of “sorry, you can’t do that.” We stayed one night after arriving in Oslo, during a wedding. I’d been told about the wedding only about two days before flying to Norway, but not that we couldn’t use the grounds or have dinner or breakfast in the hall while it was going on. We did have breakfast well before the wedding party, but the restrictions still felt strange and limiting.

The four-course meal was incredible, especially the reindeer, and the staff were wonderful too. The guest house has a lovely history and a great view. It’s some of the most beautiful countryside I’ve seen, and I’d love to return.

We came for one night after attending a wedding at the same place. The room was clean and lovely, and the stay felt cozy and romantic. Dinner was amazing, so try the restaurant. Breakfast was simple, with tasty local produce. Since it was the start of summer, though, our room got very hot overnight. Opening the window only a little didn’t help, and there was no fan or air conditioning. We still slept well, ate well, and had a nice stay.
