The local flavors in the delicious food, the helpful staff, and the cleanliness all fit the place so well. It’s cozy, with a traditional Norwegian style, and the location has picturesque surroundings and views. Definitely worth a stay if you’re in the area.

The hotel makes a grand first impression, but the details that matter were lacking for me. My colleague and I booked two rooms at the same $140-160 per night rate for an overnight work trip, yet their room was an acceptable size and standard while mine was about the size of a small boat cabin and noticeably lower quality. Staff came across as a bit aloof and cold. My room had only a TV and a very old hair dryer, with no coffee maker, fridge, minibar, or other amenities. My colleague also had trouble with Wi-Fi coverage. There’s a pool, bar, and restaurant, but we didn’t use them, so I can’t comment on those. The setting is beautiful and the style is expensive, but even in Norway this felt like a lot of money for very little. I’ll stay elsewhere next time.

We had a short but awesome stay! We arrived in the evening, so I missed afternoon tea, maybe next time. The garden was beautiful, and everything else was great too: food, room, bar, pool, sauna, and a good breakfast. If you want to relax and have a good time, you should come here. 💗

A cozy hotel with friendly staff. The bar is a beautiful room where you want to spend the evening, but the music was too loud and clubby for the interior and atmosphere.
