Morvigsanden Camping

In Ukraine, I had two favorite campsites where I could rest both body and soul. One is now occupied and mined, and the other is dangerous because of rocket strikes and floating mines. Losing those places was a huge source of sorrow for me. I thought I’d never feel that way again until I came to your campsite ❤️ Thank you for such a wonderful place! The grounds are incredibly beautiful, with lots of fish and shellfish in the water. Boats and life jackets are free to use, and kayaks can be rented for very low prices. There’s a lovely forest with berries nearby. Even when the campsite is full, it stays quiet and peaceful, and the lawns are neat and clean. The toilet, shower and kitchen are very clean. You have a real cleanliness fairy working here! There are always paper towels and soap, and the kitchen has all the equipment you need: a stove, microwave, mini oven, kettle, large fridge and even a separate freezer 👍 There’s also a washing machine and dryer for an extra fee. The receptionist is a very pleasant girl who can exchange money for you and offers ice cream and coffee. The service was great. I’ll definitely come back, more than once! ❤️

We were so glad we took a chance on this site after passing up other nearby campsites. It was easily our favorite of the whole trip. There’s plenty of room to park a campervan across the fairly large site, and the sea views are stunning. The toilets and kitchen were good, though we didn’t use the showers. The owner was friendly and very helpful. We rented a kayak for an hour for 50kr, which seemed very reasonable, especially with a good buoyancy aid included.

We traveled around Norway for a month with a motorized camper and a tent, and this was the first place that didn’t charge extra for the tent. The owner was so kind, funny and easy to talk with, and we were welcomed really warmly. Showers cost 10 NOK for 3 minutes, and the water was lukewarm, which I think is perfect. You can also rent a bike for 100 NOK for the whole day. I highly recommend the place and would certainly stay again when I’m in the area. Thanks for a nice stay, Morvigsanden Camping! ❤️

It’s absolutely quiet at night, and there’s a nice hiking route starting right at the camping area. The buildings are rather old, as others have said, but the staff are polite and friendly, and the showers, toilets and kitchen are spotlessly clean. It’s also not far from Kristiansand ferry harbour.
