Pernilla was a great resource for arranging activities with local guides, and the hotel restaurant was easily the best in town. The food was outstanding and prepared really well. Flåm Marina hotel has very clean, comfortable, spacious rooms with good equipment and the clearest, most direct view of the Fjord. We’d highly recommend staying here. It’s well worth the short walk from the train station, and in my view it’s the best hotel in Flåm.

We didn’t stay here, though we wished we had. The view is amazing, even with the cloud sitting so low when we visited, and the pizza was delicious.

The rooms and hotel facilities are great, and you can see a breathtaking ford view from the balcony. Dinner was a really bad experience, though. Every dish we had was very salty: cod, venison, plank steak, fries, and even the vegetable sides. Only the fish soup was just okay. We finished a big bottle of water. That was totally not acceptable.

We spent one night here so we could take the flamsbana and enjoy the view, and it was well worth it. The train ride was amazing and the scenery breathtaking. Breakfast was included and great; dinner was delicious too, though we paid for it. The family room has a small double bed and a bunk bed, ideally for 3 people. It would be tight for 4.
