We had a ground-floor room with a nice patio, and the hotel lobby, rooms and grounds were clean. The view and beach were beautiful, the staff were friendly, and the included breakfast was really good. It was warm and sunny, so we kept the windows open, but we could smell smoke whenever someone smoked. I wish there had been air conditioning or a designated smoking spot farther from the rooms.

We stayed for 10 days as a family of 12, and would love to come back. We enjoyed morning yoga, the jacuzzi, the beach and the beautiful coastline. The rooms and apartments were really nice, with a breathtaking view, and the hotel itself lived up to all our expectations. From the original reservation and follow-up emails to our visit, Strand Hotel showed great flexibility and client service. Everyone, from reception, housekeeping, restaurant and bar staff to management, went out of their way to make our stay fantastic.

They have charging points right at the hotel, and they worked with both German charging cards and EasyPark. The restaurant is worth trying, and the staff were friendly. Our room was nicely furnished, too. It's in a great spot, right by the water.

I was in room 213 on a Wednesday night, directly above the bar, and noise came from both the bar and the terrace. There was more noise in the room than at a train station, and management knows about it. The staff were friendly, but management seems so focused on making money that they don't care whether guests can sleep. I can only imagine how bad it gets on a weekend. Worst hotel ever!
