Namsentunet

We were there in winter and ended up being the only guests, unfortunately. The place itself was very nice. Thanks to the friendly owner, and especially to Nina, who made us a delicious dinner and breakfast.

We decided to stay a night when we drove back north, and the accommodation was charming. Opening the door to the sound of a stream was really relaxing. Our room had lovely traditional decor, and the service was great. We felt welcome and well looked after. In summer, though, book ahead rather than turning up spontaneously. The location is incredible and super charming, especially if you like rivers and local fishing. On our way south we'd stopped there and noticed signs saying the property was private, so we asked about them. With tourism in Norway growing, some campers and people enjoying the "allemannsretten" have pushed the boundaries, trespassing and using amenities without the owner's consent. This narrow stretch of Norway means that can really disturb guests. There's a train bridge nearby, so it's hard to avoid train noise here. We heard one go past just before bed, but no others woke us, and it didn't affect our stay.

We only spent the night here while heading north, and now wish we'd had time to explore in daylight. In the morning the river looked beautiful. The room was great and comfortable too. We had stood stay.

A great place to stop, with a clean room, really comfortable beds, and a heated bathroom floor. Breakfast was excellent, with every spread you could want.
