The room was comfortable, and the hotel is conveniently located for skiing, so I might return. But the service and planning left us frustrated. We arrived at 1pm and were told the room would be ready for check-in at 3pm, which was fair enough. When we asked a few practical questions, the receptionist told us to sit and relax and said we could get answers at check-in. She said they were extremely busy, though there were no other guests at the desk. By 3pm, the restaurant and spa were both fully booked. The hotel promotes the spa heavily online, but it wasn’t clear that sessions only admit around 30 people. With over 200 rooms, those spots must go quickly. If we’d known at arrival, we would have booked right away. Missing the spa was the biggest letdown of our stay. The EV charger in the parking area wasn’t working either. Staff didn’t do much to sort it out, so we ended up going to a Tesla supercharger. The spa capacity needs to be explained more clearly online and at check-in, and the service could be better.

The bed didn’t feel very comfortable to me, though I know that’s subjective. The rest was great, especially the food, which was fabulous, and the alpine skiing was excellent. For a one-night stay, I think it’s worth the money. I’d have liked more service at the pool bar, though. When you order drinks, I feel a waiter should bring them over instead of making you collect them yourself. That’s personal preference, but at a luxury price I expect that extra touch.

We’ve stayed here twice now, and both visits have been very good. The pool is a real highlight, and I loved relaxing there; the sauna was also great after skiing. Breakfast had a good range of choices. The rooms are small, but cozy and comfortable. I especially liked the soft bathrobes provided for each guest. A lovely place to unwind.

The rooms and shared spaces look nice, but the stay was a letdown. You have to pay £30 per person for just two hours in the small pool, and even hotel guests couldn’t get a slot because they’d oversold it. We couldn’t get a restaurant table before 9pm, despite it not being anywhere near full, so we ate at the bar. The $30 usd cheese board was impressively tiny. Our pizza arrived cold and had a big piece of plastic sheeting in it. When we told the staff, they just said, “oh yeah that happens quite a lot,” and didn’t seem to care at all 😂 There’s no coffee in the room unless you book a suite, either. It felt like they were looking for every chance to get extra money.
