I didn't stay at the hotel, but went in to ask about the local area and found the staff very polite and courteous. The location is stunning and definitely worth visiting. The menu looks interesting, and as a chef I think it should be tried. A weekend would be perfect for exploring this beautiful spot on the sognefjord. I definitely recommend a visit.

A charming little marina with friendly staff, and excellent outdoor dining. They're expanding it for all the boats coming by sea in the summer. The bay of Leirvik sits in a side arm of Sognefjorden, and the place also has nice rooms and a restaurant open in the evenings, with food and occasional events such as quiz nights and concerts. They're not on every day, so check ahead if you want to catch one. Every Saturday they serve delicious freshly baked 'solskinnsbolle' (sunshine bun). A great spot to spend a couple of hours if you're in the area.

We had a nice room, though it was on the expensive side. The restaurant doesn't serve fish, and nearby there's a farm. The menu is things like burgers, pizza and lasagne.
