The major problem for me was how hard it was to get in touch with Thon Fosnavåg Hotel by email. Communication matters when you're arranging accommodation, and the lack of replies could make for a frustrating stay, so I can't recommend it. The hotel does have modern amenities and traditional Norwegian hospitality, and it's comfortable, central, and convenient. There are things it does well, but improvements would make the guest experience better.

The rooms are comfortable and well appointed, and free parking is available right beside the hotel. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with superb service. My only small issue was the comforter, which was too warm for sleeping, and there wasn't a lighter option. A wonderful find in a small community.

We found the toilet dirty when we first got into our room, and the room wasn't clean in general. Reception responded right away and moved us to a clean, good room. Still, this kind of situation at a hotel like Thon is unacceptable.

It was clean and comfortable, and the complimentary buffet breakfast was the best I've ever had. The bar doesn't have much to choose from, but it does the trick. This was my second stay at a Thon hotel, and I feel I can trust the brand while I'm in Norway.

We had a quiet, comfortable stay in this modern, clean hotel. The rooms were spacious enough and had very decent views, and the restaurant was quite good, though its prices carry a premium. I don't have any major complaints, but 148kr for a 0.5l beer is a travesty. Book a restaurant table beforehand to avoid a wait.
