The views were some of the most breathtaking we saw on our whole trip around Norway. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and well kept, and the staff were both professional and exceptionally welcoming. The stay was well worth the cost, with value far beyond what we paid. Highly recommend.

We had breakfast and really enjoyed it. For around 140 Swedish Kronas, you can also take coffee and a few snacks with you, which was a thoughtful touch. We packed sandwiches for lunch :) We stayed in the motel beside the main building, and everything went smoothly. The room had what we needed, even a little hairdryer. Great shower pressure, and a lovely water view from the small patio.

The people inside were really friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of outdoor tables looking over the lake and mountains. The cakes are delicious, especially the cheesecake with berry topping, it's unreal. Such a gorgeous spot with views you can't put into words. A must stop.

We stayed three nights in the separate building, right at the water's edge, and the location is stunning. The room was a bit small, but that was fine. Breakfast was very good, and Lorenz patiently answered all our questions and requests. A great base for Geirangerfjord and the glacier.

The hotel feels historic and cozy, and staying there was a unique experience. There's a good nearby hike with fantastic views. Our balcony room in the concrete building was quiet, clean, functional, and comfortable, and the service was friendly. Breakfast was simple but good. Hjelle Hotel's location is incredible, far beyond what we'd expected. The website photos don't capture it, and the view was breathtaking.
