The quiet green setting near Kristiansand made this a cozy place to stay, and the kids enjoyed seeing the rabbits, chickens, peacocks, goose, and calf. They could feed the rabbits and chickens anytime, and the other animals were fed when needed. Our older cabin was basic but perfectly comfortable while we were out at the zoo. We booked a large one with six beds split between the bedroom and loft. It had a living room, dining area, little kitchen, bedroom, and loft. The drive to Sørlandsparken/Dyreparken took about 12 minutes. We stayed five days and it worked well for us, as long as you think of it as a resort for shorter visits. I'd recommend it.

The host was lovely, and the little cabins felt cozy. It’s a very child-friendly place, with animals wandering around the farm. You can even collect fresh eggs from the chickens for breakfast. We’d gladly come back next time we’re in Kristiansand.

We’ve stayed here before and plan to return next summer. I even got fresh eggs from the chickens for breakfast. Kids can help feed the animals in the morning and evening, which is really fun. There are peacocks, geese, a parrot, pheasants, a calf, pig, chickens, and roosters, along with trampolines, swings, and playhouses. The cabins match the pictures and are simple, as the booking site says. For the low price, you get a lot, and there was nothing I wanted to complain about. It’s such a nice place that you could come just to enjoy being here, without treating it as a stop before the zoo.
