The rooms felt too cramped for a family with kids, though they might suit a short work trip into the city. As far as I could tell, there’s no room service, but the rooms were kept clean. The hotel sits at the edge of a shopping area in greater Kristiansand, in a generally convenient spot.

The guest kitchen is lovely, and this worked well for an overnight stop. There’s no parking of its own, but you can use spaces at other hotels or park on the street. Street parking costs money from 8am, so check Easypark for available spots.

Beds are really comfortable and everything works well, with a practical Scandinavian design. It’s a budget hotel, but for the price, it’s great.

The self-service check-in and check-out were quick and painless, especially handy if you arrive late. I stayed a couple of days at Citybox Kristiansand and liked having everything close by. It’s right in the city center, with a mall, places to eat, grocery shops, and bus stops just a short walk away. My room was on the small side, but clean and comfortable. Everything felt fresh and well looked after.

Check-in was seamless, and checking out was the fastest I’ve ever experienced. The hotel’s design looks expensive, but the bill told a different story. A classy place on a low budget, right in the middle of Kristiansand.
