Quality Hotel Skjaergarden

The pool area is nice and was pretty much the main reason to go, and the people working there were kind. Cleaning seemed good, though the interior isn’t new. The location deserves a higher class hotel, in my opinion. The heat made it hard to sleep. There’s no air conditioning, the windows barely open, and they turn off the airflow at night. We left a day early because we weren’t sleeping, and got no refund. It might be okay if they repaired the ventilation and added cooling. The EV chargers seemed to be priced in Swedish currency, which doesn’t seem okay or legal, though I may have been a bit heat-struck.

Good value for the price, with lots of amenities for kids and helpful staff. The outdoor playground and pool could use some care and updating if you’re picky. Toddlers aren’t, though, and they’re the hotel’s target group 🙂

We arrived late in the evening and Mr. Sindre greeted us in such a friendly, helpful way. He and Mr. Daniel at the bar went beyond what we expected, giving us a really nice, personal evening with great service. Customer service 10/10. Those two made our night and made us feel very welcome. Thank you, Sindre and Daniel!

The morning buffet was great, though the vegetarian choices were limited. There are plenty of games in the hotel, and you can get a gym card for the nearby all-purpose gym. I stayed for a day before joining the ship and found it peaceful, with comfortable beds and a choice of pillow firmness, soft or medium hard. You can definitely stay here without being disappointed.
