The spa facilities are great, the massage was very good, and I enjoyed the breakfast and bar lounge. But the spa gets so packed after 4pm that it becomes unusable. At check-in, reception immediately tried to sell us things, which didn't feel welcoming. There weren't many English-speaking staff. The atmosphere felt creepy to me, and there was degenerate artwork around the place. In the rooms, the TVs had no channels and wouldn't connect to streaming apps. The Wi-Fi kept cutting out, too.

The spa itself is the hotel's strongest point. It's well kept and relaxing, and would be pleasant if you're mainly there for that. My partner and I stayed two nights, though, and the rest of the experience didn't meet our expectations for a high-end spa hotel at this price. Our Ocean Superior room felt like a letdown. You can technically see the ocean from the balcony, but from the bed the main view was the road, which seemed misleading for that room category. The room was small and clearly dated. There was no way to connect a phone or PC to the TV, and no YouTube or Netflix. We also had no hand towels or floor towel after showering, and there was no room safe, which surprised me for a hotel of this category. Housekeeping missed the mark as well: the bed was poorly made and the details weren't attended to. Breakfast was very basic and had little choice. Even several 4-star Strawberry hotels offer a wider, better-quality breakfast. The hotel seems to depend heavily on the spa, while the rooms, housekeeping and breakfast lag behind, leaving poor value for the price. For a spa visit it may be suitable, but as an overnight hotel stay it doesn't justify its cost or reputation for us. Updated rooms, more careful housekeeping and a better breakfast would help. For now, I'd hesitate to recommend staying overnight.

The sea view from the Fjord sauna was magical. It was so mesmerizing I almost forgot about the heat, and could've stayed there forever. We came all the way from Berlin for this hotel, and the architecture and location were stunning, easily a 10/10. Sitting and watching the sea all day was wonderfully calming. The spa had a jacuzzi, pool and cozy atmosphere. My favorite part was the rituals: Afternoon Reset, Theme Aufguss, then the Peeling Ritual and a refreshing dip in the sea. Each sauna master brought a different touch, so every session felt memorable. I also joined a yoga class and had a face scan to check my skin health, which was interesting. Anja at reception welcomed us so warmly and kindly explained everything. She made us feel at home right away. It was absolutely worth the trip.

We got the afternoon spa package with a meal included. The saunas and wellness area were great and very clean, and the staff were helpful. The food was great too. Definitely recommend it!
