The hotel was centrally located, so restaurants and a grocery store were an easy walk away. We stayed a few nights and found the beds very comfortable, with great maid service. Breakfast had a nice selection, and the food was fresh and dry. One thing to know: there’s no electrical outlet in the bathroom. They provide a hairdryer, but you have to plug it in by the bed, where there’s no mirror.

There’s no elevator, just stairs up to the second floor, and the hotel is a short taxi ride from Leknes airport. You can walk to restaurants and shops in town, too. It has a bit of history, as it was brought here after the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics. Breakfast and dinner are served, and I especially liked breakfast. The staff were kind and likeable, the beds comfortable, and the showers hot. We saw northern lights from the parking lot in March 2026.

A charming place to wait for the northern lights. The breakfast was more than adequate, and there were pastries, selected fruit and coffee available all day. Check the dinner roster, though, since dinner isn’t available every night. The front office staff were gracious and helpful, and the chef was fabulous. The codfish was among the best I’ve tried anywhere in the world, no exaggeration. Special thanks to the tireless Sylvi at reception. Highly recommend.

The breakfast was amazing, and I got to see the Aurora Borealis! The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful, thanks. There are several restaurants, including the hotel restaurant, and the bus stop is a five-minute walk away.

It’s an old hotel, but we’d give it five stars for the breakfast and service. The breakfast was plentiful and well made. A big thank you to Kristian and the kitchen team for helping us after we arrived very late because of road maintenance. They set aside some burgers for us to warm up when we finally got in, which saved the evening.
