The river and bridge made for lovely scenery, and a grocery store and vehicle charging station are less than 2km away. We arrived late, around 11pm, but the host quickly set us up in a nice warm cabin. He was really friendly and helpful 😊

The owners were so helpful and accommodating, and the camp sits beside a beautiful stream between the mountains. We stayed two nights in two large cabins, both very clean and fitted with a TV, shower, and kitchenette. They also serve good pizza and burgers on site. We’d highly recommend Camp Uvdal, especially as a stop when driving between Oslo and Bergen.

The river is nice for swimming, and you can rent a kajak. Staff were friendly, but the toilets are very old and not really clean. The children’s play ground felt dangerous, with rusty nails everywhere. It’s a quiet campsite and was ok overall, though too expensive.
