Mefjord Brygge

The breakfast was good, and the location makes it easy to explore Senja. We stayed in the Kristine-Stua house and found it clean, comfortable, and well cared for. All the beds are singles, which might suit friends traveling together better than families wanting a larger bed. We took a little while to work out the main door. When you enter or leave, hold the key card against the reader until the light turns red. Then you can go in and close the door, or leave. If you don’t, the door may stay unlocked, which wasn’t obvious to us.

The restaurant is excellent, with delicious local dishes, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It’s a cozy place in a stunning spot between the sea and mountains. Some rooms are a bit small, and some don’t have private bathrooms, but everything is clean and comfortable. A lovely place to relax and enjoy nature. I’d definitely come back!

The setting at Mefjord Brygge is incredible, with mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. It’s peaceful and remote in the best way. After long days driving and exploring, my room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The restaurant food was excellent, fresh and hearty, just right after a cold day. The staff were welcoming and genuinely friendly, and the relaxed, local feel made me want to stay longer. It’s a rare place that captures the beauty and atmosphere of Northern Norway so well. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

The view from Ragna Stua is amazing, and the house was very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped. Just remember to bring the little things yourself, like shower gel and salt. I highly recommend this place!
