Hotel Victoria

The staff are really nice, but the room is tiny. I could barely fit into the bathroom, and the pillows are terrible, 0/5. There’s no air conditioning, so the room gets to 40 degrees in summer.

It’s peaceful here, a change from Oslo. The architecture is interesting, ranging from very old buildings to extremely modern styles. There’s also a lovely riverside walk, with plenty of restaurants to choose from.

The six Murano chandeliers are the hotel’s highlights, three in the bar and three in the restaurant. If you like Murano glass, go have a look. It’s a medium-sized, old-fashioned hotel under private ownership, across from a park and about a ten-minute walk from the riverside restaurant area. The rooms and shared spaces feel cosy but dated. Standard double rooms are fairly small, though there are larger ones too. There’s no air conditioning, and it’s a typical three-star place. Breakfast was okay, but all the yoghurts were sweetened, and the coffee and tea could be better.

Don’t rent here, they’ll steal your deposit. Only drug dealers live here.
